Children deserve to grow up in a world where they play, laugh, learn and develop their own unique potential. Sadly, many children in the slums of Nairobi spend their days searching for food wondering if they will eat that day. They wander the streets instead of the aisles of classrooms because they can't afford school fees, uniforms and supplies. They shiver in one room shacks because they are wearing the only clothes they own and those are threadbare.
Through sponsorship you can change that picture. Sponsorship is a tool of empowerment. It empowers the children to improve their opportunities through education, and it empowers you to make a difference in the world.
Galilee Primary School and Waddington High School are located in the Kayole-Soweto slum area of Nairobi, Kenya. Over 1700 students attend school on the campus. Many of these children are orphans, all live in extremely needy circumstances. Our mission is to create opportunities for children living in the slums of Nairobi to receive an education and improve their quality of life. We accomplish this through
- Child Sponsorship
- Special Projects to improve the educational environment and infrastructure of the schools
- Addressing the needs of improved health and nutrition to enhance the learning potential of students
- Providing adequate funding to support a stable and qualified teaching staff
